Guns! Animations & Sprites

Spend the better part of the weekend making animations for the version of the player character with guns drawn. The guns expand from the underarms of his suit and envelop his hands and underarms.

Been refining the code and the switches to the differents states to get the animations and switches between animations as smooth as possible while retaining playability and a good sense of being in control of the player character.

Redid all of the sprite sheets, they were all different sizes and although they worked it’s easier to get good transitions of all the sprites are the same size and the character lines up in all of them. So all sprites are now 512×600 pixels and are drawn at 50% scale in the game. So when you view the game, the resolution is 1920×1080 pixels, on a 4 or 5K monitor things don’t get all fuzzy and there is still enough resolution.
